Panel Settings

Roles

Create roles for your staff and choose exactly what each one can do in the dashboard.

1. What roles do

A role is a set of dashboard permissions with a name and a colour. Give roles to your staff in Members, and they only see and do what their roles allow. Roles are in order: the ones at the top outrank the ones below. The panel owner always has every permission.

2. Create a role

  1. Open Roles and press Create new Role.
  2. Type a Name (up to 30 characters).
  3. Pick a Colour with the colour picker or by typing a hex code. It accents the role across the website.
  4. Open Dashboard Permissions and tick what the role can manage.
  5. Save the role.

3. Permissions

Permissions are split in two groups.

Moderation permissions (free)

Page permissions (Grande+)

These let a role use a dashboard page. On a free panel only the owner can use these pages.

4. Order and ranks

Drag a role by its handle, or use the up and down arrows, to change its order. A Save Changes bar appears; press it to keep the new order. You can only change, move or give out roles that are below your own highest role, and only permissions you have yourself.

5. Edit and delete

Open the menu on a role to Edit or Delete it. Deleting asks you to confirm.

6. Limits

The count next to the search box shows how many roles you have, for example 3/10 roles. Free panels can have up to 10 roles. Grande+ removes the limit. Use Search roles to find one quickly.
