Panel Settings
General
The name, Discord server, Community ID, join approval and other basics of your panel.
1. Opening settings
On your dashboard press Open on a server. General is the first page. You need the Settings permission to change anything here (the panel owner always has it).
When you change something, a bar appears at the bottom saying You have unsaved changes. Press Save Changes to keep them or Discard to undo. The same bar is used on the other settings pages.
2. Name
The name your community shows up as across Grande, up to 40 characters.
3. Server Icon
The icon of your server shown throughout Grande, next to its name. It comes from your Discord server. If you change the icon or name in Discord, press Sync from Discord to update it here.
4. Discord server
Shows the Discord server this panel is linked to. If Grande is in the server you will see Grande is in this server. If not, press Invite Grande. Grande has to be in the server before commands, verification and logging work.
Servers that are official Grande partners show a verified badge next to their name.
5. Community ID
The code people use to join your panel. Share it with the people you want in.
- The code is hidden by default. Press the eye to show it, and Copy to copy it.
- Copy Join Link copies a link like
grandevc.xyz/join/CODE. When someone opens it they sign in with Discord and join the panel (or ask to join, if you use staff approval), so they do not have to type the code. - Regenerate join code makes a new code. The old one stops working straight away, but people already in the panel stay in.
- Custom Community ID (Grande+) lets you pick your own memorable ID, up to 20 characters, like your server name. Once it is set, the box below empties because the code is already shown above. Type a new one and press Update code to change it, or press Remove to go back to the random code.
6. Join approval
Choose what happens when someone uses your Community ID:
- Automatic: new members join instantly.
- Staff approval: they wait in Requests until a staff member accepts them.
7. Default Roles
Pick the roles that every new member should start with. They are given the moment someone joins, or the moment you accept their request, so new people are never left without access.
- Open the Default Roles box and tick the roles you want. Press Save Changes.
- You can only add or remove roles that are below your own role and that have only permissions you also have. The owner can use any role.
- It does not change people who are already in the panel, and a role that you delete is dropped from the list.
8. Discord Autokick
When this is on, anyone who leaves your linked Discord server is removed from the panel as well. It does not matter why they left: they left on their own, were kicked or were banned. A pending join request from them is removed too. The panel owner is never removed.
- It is off by default. Turn on Enable Discord Autokick and press Save Changes.
- People who are removed can join again with the Community ID, as long as they are back in the Discord server.
- Each removal is written to the audit log as Grande (automatic) when audit logging is on.
- Grande needs the Discord Server Members intent to see people leave. It is the same one automatic verification uses.
9. Audit logging
Turns the audit log on or off. When it is on, Grande records what staff change in the dashboard, who did it and when. It is off by default and only records things from the moment you turn it on.
10. Upgrade your plan
Shows what Grande+ adds for this panel. If the panel already has it, the owner sees its renewal date and a Manage billing button here instead.
11. Danger zone
These actions can’t be undone and are limited to the panel owner.
- Reset activity waves: sets the activity waves back to 0 and deletes every shift logged so far. The next wave starts again from Wave 1. Grande asks you to confirm twice.
- Delete punishment logs: pick which types of logs to delete (notes, warnings, kicks, ban BOLOs or bans). Every log of those types, and the pictures attached to them, is removed from the Moderator Panel.
- Transfer ownership: pick a member of the panel to become the new owner. You lose your administrator permissions. The new owner must already have joined the panel.
- Delete server (Delete panel): permanently removes the panel along with its members, roles, requests and ER:LC connection. Grande asks you to confirm before it does it.
12. If something does not work
- I can’t change anything: you need the Settings permission. Ask the owner to give you a role that has it.
- Grande is not in this server: press Invite Grande and add it with the permissions it asks for.
- No one to transfer to: ownership can only go to someone who has joined the panel. Share your Community ID so they can join first.
- Custom Community ID is locked: it is a Grande+ feature.
- Discord Autokick does nothing: the Server Members intent has to be turned on for Grande’s bot. Ask the person who runs Grande, and check that the setting is saved.
