Panel Settings
Punishments
Log warnings, kicks and bans in the Moderator Panel, and choose how punishment logs work for your server.
1. What it is
A punishment log is a record of something a moderator did to a player: a note, a warning, a kick, a ban bolo or a ban. Moderators create logs in the Moderator Panel. Grande keeps them, shows them in each player’s panel and can post them in a Discord channel. Open Punishments in the panel menu to choose how they work. You need the Moderation Settings permission.
2. Create a log
- Open the Moderator Panel and search for the player under Create New Log. Press Enter to open their user panel.
- Pick a Type: Note, Warning, Kick, Ban Bolo or Ban.
- Write a Reason, or use a preset.
- Press Create Log.
The form clears and the log shows in the player’s logs. You need the Warn, Kick, Ban, Ban BOLO or Note (for that log type) permission.
3. Presets
A preset is a ready-made type and reason. In Punishments, press Manage punishment presets. It works like channel routing:
- Press + to add a preset.
- Give it a Name, a Type and a Reason. Names must be different.
- Press Save. Press a preset to change it, or the bin to delete it. Close leaves without saving.
Staff pick one with the little book in the corner of the Reason box, and Grande fills in the type and reason. If there are no presets, the list says No matching punishment presets found. You can have up to 50.
4. Settings
- Run kicks and bans in game: when a Kick or Ban log is created, Grande also runs the kick or ban in your ER:LC server. If the player is already banned, Grande sees that when the log is made and does not ban them again. It needs your ER:LC key, and it is off by default.
Change a setting and press Save Changes.
5. Advanced Punishment Logs
With Grande+, staff can add a description and up to 2 pictures to a log. You choose:
- Allow descriptions and Require descriptions.
- Allow images and Require images.
Requiring something also allows it. Without Grande+ these switches are grey, and the Moderator Panel shows a locked Advanced Punishment Logs button. If Grande+ ends, your choices and the descriptions and pictures already saved are kept, but nobody can add or change them until Grande+ is back.
6. Edit and delete a log
Press the three dots on a log, then Edit or Delete Log. Edit turns the Create New Log box into Edit Log right where it is, so you can change the type and reason, press Remove description, press Upload image (or drag a picture in), press Save Log, or delete the log. Press the X to close it and get Create New Log back. Remove description and Upload image need Grande+ and show the Grande+ lock without it. Editing needs Edit Log and deleting needs Delete Log. Both are written to the audit log.
The panel owner can delete every log of a type (notes, warnings, kicks, ban BOLOs or bans) from General › Danger Zone › Delete Punishment Logs. This can’t be undone.
7. In Discord
Pick a Moderation Logs Channel in Discord Integration › Channels, and Grande posts each new log there. The message shows the Type, the Moderator, the Moderated User (their Roblox name links to their profile, next to their Discord name if they linked one) and the Reason. The Manage Log button opens the log in the Moderator Panel, and people with the right permissions can edit it there.
With Grande+, channel routing can send Warnings, Kicks, Bans and so on to different channels. Grande needs View Channel, Send Messages and Use External Emojis in the channel.
8. Permissions
- Moderator Panel: open the panel.
- Warn, Kick, Ban, Ban BOLO or Note (for that log type), Edit Log, Delete Log: do that to punishment logs.
- Moderation Settings: change the Punishments settings and presets.
Give them in Roles.
9. If something does not work
- I can’t create a log: you need the Warn, Kick, Ban, Ban BOLO or Note (for that log type) permission.
- Advanced Punishment Logs is locked: the panel needs Grande+.
- The kick or ban did not run in game: turn on Run kicks and bans in game and check the ER:LC key. The log says if the player was already banned.
- Roblox could not find that user: check the spelling of the username.
- Nothing appears in Discord: choose a Moderation Logs channel and check Grande can write in it.
