ER:LC Integration

Authorizing Grande

ER:LC needs the server owner to approve Grande once before it can run commands on a server.

1. What it is

Grande is a public application in ER:LC, which means it is used in many different servers. To keep servers safe, ER:LC only lets such an application send commands to a server after the server owner has approved it. This is called authorizing the application. It is a one-time step for each server.

Without it, reading your server (players, logs, the live map) still works, but anything that sends a command will not: Run command on the ER:LC Integration page and the commands in the Moderator Panel.

2. How to authorize Grande

  1. Add your server key first. See ER:LC API Key.
  2. Join your ER:LC private server. ER:LC requires you to be in the game, in that server, for the approval to go through.
  3. In Grande open ER:LC Integration. A notice at the top says commands will not work until Grande is authorized.
  4. Press Authorize Grande. A page from ER:LC opens. Sign in if you are asked and approve the application.
  5. Go back to Grande. It checks automatically: once after 10 seconds, then every 5 seconds. When ER:LC accepts it, the notice turns green and goes away.

3. Who has to do it

The approval has to come from the owner of the ER:LC private server. If you are not the owner, send them the link from the notice. Grande only shows the notice, so anyone with the right panel permission can copy the link.

4. How Grande knows it worked

After you press Authorize Grande, Grande quietly sends the harmless :logs command to your server. It only shows the command log to the sender and changes nothing in the game. If ER:LC accepts it, Grande is authorized. It may appear once in the command feed.

If your server is offline or ER:LC is busy, Grande cannot tell yet and simply tries again a few seconds later.
